The check out time is 11am on the day of departure. Unfortunately we are unable to offer late check-outs, as we need to get the room ready for the next guest.
Yes, if you need us to store your luggage for a few hours before you can check in to your room or after check out before you depart, that is no issue. We can store your luggage at reception.
There are self-service launderettes on campus, near the accommodation with several washing machines and dryers. Laundry washing facilities cost €3 and dryer facilities cost €1.50 per load.

UCD has many options on-campus for food & drinks, some are located next to the reception in the Village Food Hall (https://thefoodhallatucdvillage.ie/) and other alternatives are located around the campus.
The Clubhouse Bar is located near the UCD sports centre and the Local Bar is located in the Village Food Hall.

Dublin is a safe city by international standards, and our university is set in a leafy suburban area on the outskirts of the city. 24-hour security patrols by friendly but vigilant professionals make sure that the campus environment is as safe and secure as possible. Monitored CCTV around the campus also adds an extra layer of security.
Yes, we are about three miles/ five kilometers from the heart of Dublin, and numerous bus routes from our campus whisk you into the city in twenty minutes. You are also just a half-hour from the Dublin mountains, and a similar distance from some beautiful Irish beaches.
Apart from having over 325 acres of beautiful parkland, UCD has tremendous sports facilities, including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, countless playing pitches, and a fully-equipped gym.The access to the gym and pool area is by membership only.
