As a result, some individuals who have made accommodation bookings may receive fraudulent messages impersonating UCD Campus Accommodation, including via WhatsApp, email, or SMS, that appear to relate to their stay.
These messages may:
- Reference real booking details (e.g. dates, booking ID)
- Appear to come from UCD or include UCD branding/signatures
- Request confirmation of information or payment
- Contain links to external websites
Please be aware:
- UCD will NEVER contact you via WhatsApp in relation to your booking
- UCD will NOT request payment or sensitive information via unsolicited messages
- UCD will NOT ask you to click external links to confirm your booking details
What you should do:
- Do not click on any links in unexpected messages
- Do not provide personal or financial information
- If you receive a suspicious message, report it directly to Booking.com through their official channels
