Essential Guest Information

  • Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM, as late check-outs are not available to facilitate room preparation. A fee may be applicable to those who do not vacate the room on time.
  • The main Welcome Desk/Reception is located in the UCD Village and remains open 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week. Alternatively, you can ring Welcome Desk/Reception on +353 1 716 7000.
  • UCD has 24/7 security provided by UCD Estate Services and in case of an emergency you can contact security via the Welcome Desk/Reception or by calling +353 1 716 7999.

As part of our commitment to enhancing facilities for students and summer guests, UCD will undertake significant development projects on campus during summer 2026. These works may result in noise and disturbance, potentially occurring seven days a week, including evenings and weekends, to meet project timelines. While we are dedicated to minimizing disruptions, some impact in areas near the accommodation is unavoidable. Please note that construction will not take place within the residences themselves

Room Amenities & Maintenance

Towels & Linens

Towels are refreshed after three nights while bed linen is changed on a 7 night rota.

Irons

Irons are available to borrow at the Welcome Desk/Reception, please note we only posses a limited number of irons.

Extra Pillows and Duvets

Please note we cannot provide extra pillows or duvets. If you require an extra pillow for medical reasons, please visit the Welcome Desk/Reception where our team will do their best to assist you.

Clothes Hangers

There can only be a maximum of 3 clothes hangers per guest.

Hairdriers

Hairdriers are not available from the reception and are not in the room.

Gym/Pool Access

Gym and pool access may be available for you to purchase from UCD Sport and Fitness via a day pass. You can find more information here. Please note that some packages may have gym/pool access included.

Wi-Fi

There is free Wi-Fi on campus named UCD Guest Wi-Fi.

Room Key

For information on how to use your room key please click here.

If you lose or damage your room key, you can make your way to the Welcome Desk/Reception in order to receive a replacement.

If you lock yourself out of the room, please call us on +353 1 716 7000 or you can find assistance at Welcome Desk/Reception.

Campus Facilities

Laundry services

UCD has several laundries which serve the various villages around campus. These laundrettes are open 24/7 and can be accessed using your Key Card. 

It costs €3 to wash and €1.50 to dry. The terminals accept contactless payment only. 

Parking

Parking is complimentary on the campus for the duration of the summer.

Luggage Storage

Luggage storage will be available at the Welcome Desk/Reception for those who need their bags stored after check out. This is subject to availability.

ATM/Banks

There is one ATM on the campus. It is located beside the James Joyce Library and it can be acessed 24/7.

There are also two banks in close proximity of the campus, with Bank of Ireland only a short walk from the N11 entrance to campus, and Allied Irish Bank (AIB) just outside the clonskeagh gate of campus. For more information, please see the digital map below.

In case of emergency, suspicious activity or crime on the UCD Campus please call the UCD Emergency Line on +353 1 716 7999

When off-Campus, please call 112 or 999.

Getting Around & Tips

Getting Around

UCD is well-connected to several locations in Dublin, featuring 24-hour city routes, orbital routes, and airport coaches. Most buses stop at either the UCD Flyover (N11) or the UCD Internal Bus Terminus.

Guest Top-Tips

For stays of four or more days, UCD recommends getting a Visitor Leap Card at the airport or in the UCD Centra shop for unlimited travel valid for  1, 3, or 7 days. Using a Leap Card also allows for the 90-Minute Fare, which lets you switch between Dublin Bus, Luas, or DART for free within 90 minutes of your first tap.
